buy-ins and buy-outs • employee benefits design • legal • member engagement • PPF

Victoria joined us in January 2024 as a client director, from the law firm CMS.

Background

Victoria has 20+ years of experience of pensions, working in the field of pensions law. She started her career at Baker & McKenzie LLP, where she advised a range of clients (both trustees and corporates) and spent time on secondment to The Pensions Regulator (focusing on clearance and scheme funding), and the Department for Work and Pensions (with a focus on PPF / FAS benefit design).

In her next role with the market leading CMS pensions team, Victoria advised schemes, employers and providers; her trustee clients ranging in size (from very small to some of the largest schemes in the country). She advised on all types of pensions advisory work – if it has the word “pensions” on it she’s likely to have considered it before – including ongoing valuation and contingent asset support discussions, complex investments, changes to benefit design, equalisation challenges, Ombudsman complaints, liability management, employer debt and PPF entry scenarios, scheme end game planning, buy-ins and buyouts (both in and outside the PPF).

Victoria recently spent nearly a year on secondment to the legal team at the Pension Protection Fund, where she worked on a wide range of matters including Bauer implementation.

Outside of work, Victoria can be found spending time with her young family. She loves chaotic evenings Scottish reeling with friends, and dreams of summer holidays spent in Croatia.
