Sue works on a variety of clients at Vidett, in a chair of trustees capacity, as scheme secretary and as sole trustee.

Background

With over 25 years’ experience in the pensions industry, Sue has worked in roles covering both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes. Before joining our Manchester team in 2019, she spent eleven years working in consultant advisory roles with Mercer and Barnett Waddingham. She then worked both as a trustee and as an in-house scheme secretary.

Sue has experience working on a wide variety of issues for pension schemes ranging in size from under £10m to over £1bn of assets, with recent examples including investment strategy reviews, improving scheme governance, member communications, adviser reviews, member options exercises, buy-in and buy-out, MasterTrust transition, GMP equalisation and working with the PPF.

Sue’s experience covers a variety of sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, utilities and retail, and includes working with some high-profile household names.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys reading (anything!), walking (anywhere!) and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Qualifications

Geography (BA Hons), Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute, Accredited Professional Pension Trustee. Sue worked in her free time as a volunteer adviser for The Pensions Advisory Service for over five years and provided assistance to members of the public on a variety of workplace pensions issues.
