Ryan Hopewell

Originating from South Africa, Ryan relocated to the UK in 2022. The thrill of data engineering, combined with the challenge of problem-solving ignited his passion to learn, grow and build a strong career in the world of data and technology.

Ryan’s first role in the UK, saw him join the Torpedo Factory Group; a company specializing in audio visual, stage, and intelligent environment solutions that create immersive interactive and collaborative digital experiences for all. Here he worked as a Data Support Analyst, leveraging Power BI and other tools to create impactful dashboards and reports.

More recently he worked for ecoDriver Ltd; an award-winning energy efficiency company whose passion lies in helping organisations understand and reduce their energy consumption and emissions. In his role as Technical Support Specialist, he helped provide IT hardware and software support to end-users, as well as troubleshooting problems, installing new systems and maintaining computer systems.

In his spare time, Ryan admits that when the sun is out, he finds there’s no better way to spend a day other than hiking through and exploring the countryside.
