Background
Laura started her pensions career in 2007 as a pensions paralegal, before being seduced by the variety of work and experience trusteeships can offer, ultimately leading her to join us in 2014.
Laura is an experienced project manager, who routinely manages scheme governance, data and benefit reviews, investment reviews and legal reviews, and has also helped with the successful transfer of eight schemes into the Financial Assistance Scheme (nine into the PPF and one PPF+ buyout). She also provides secretarial support to ongoing schemes.
Specialising in schemes requiring wind up and legacy defined benefit (DB) arrangements, Laura has experience with complex investment strategy reviews and legal issues connected to members entitlements and scheme documentation.
In her spare time, Laura is certainly adventurous. She has hang-glided in New Zealand and snorkelled in the Great Barrier Reef and around the Galapagos Islands. She also took part in a night time half marathon to raise money for Cancer Research.
Qualifications
LLB Hons Law Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
