Julia joined us in March 2019, working across the Midlands, West and Wales. She is a professional trustee with significant expertise in understanding employer covenant and affordability as well as agreeing an appropriate long-term investment and funding strategy that works for both the pension trustees and scheme sponsors.
Before joining us, Julia led PwC’s Employer Covenant practice in the Midlands. Here she advised trustee and corporate clients with pension schemes ranging in size from £10m to over £1bn on triennial valuations, long term objectives, integrated risk management, corporate transactions, notifiable events, clearance, restructuring and the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) levy. She advised clients operating across a number of sectors including industrial products and manufacturing, energy, telecoms, construction, professional services and not for profit.
Julia also has significant experience in dealing with situations involving The Pensions Regulator, including clearance for corporate transactions and the PPF. She is also an active member of the West Midlands Pensions and Lifetime Saving Association (PLSA) Committee.
Away from work, Julia is a big fan of NFL, with her favourite team the Dallas Cowboys. She also loves a ‘staycation’, so can regularly be found exploring the UK in her motorhome, with castles and nature reserves usually on the agenda!
