In July this year, Client director Mike Birch joined the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) for their Annual Conference 2024, as he chaired one of their breakout sessions entitled ‘Regulatory challenges and opportunities in pension innovation’.
The panel saw Mike joined by:
- Susie Daykin (Head of Pensions, Travers Smith)
- James Longster (Partner, Technology & Commercial Transactions, Travers Smith), and
- David Craddock (Senior Counsel, The Pensions Ombudsman).
Looking back at the panel, Mike commented:
“AI provides significant opportunities within the pensions industry to improve efficiency and service. In July I was delighted to chair a session that discussed the factors that trustees should be aware of when using AI to improve their efficiency and service to members while retaining the oversight, scrutiny and ownership of decisions and processes necessary to achieve this safely.”
