Steve joined the company in 2020, after his company – Steve Southern Trustees – were absorbed into 20-20 Trustees, who went on to form Vidett.

Background

As part of the Vidett team, Steve acts as Chair, co-trustee and sole trustee across a number of schemes. He has a wide-ranging experience of pension issues including journey planning, scheme mergers, member communication and options strategies, funding negotiations (including pension regulator negotiations), asset backed funding and much more.

Previously a pensions lawyer, when Steve decided to leave his role as Partner at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs, where he was professional trustee to 15 schemes. Each of those schemes followed him into his new trustee company, reflecting their considerable confidence in the services provided.

Outside of work, Steve loves his football, and once played against Take That’s Mark Owen!
