Rachel’s career in pensions started with Mercer in 2004, where she worked as their administration services manager, before moving to Buck in 2019 as their senior administration manager. The roles saw Rachel dealing with all aspects of defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) administration; from complex calculations and dealing with member complaints, to working closely with trustee boards to implement new communication strategies and online member portals.
More recently, Rachel’s role within the governance team involved completing internal audits of processes, as well as helping streamline processes and reviewing complex cases. dealing with a variety of projects including buy-in and buy-outs, data cleanse, GMP rectification/equalisation and scheme transitions.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys ballroom dancing and has recently taught herself to crochet. That said, her main passion is travel, which saw her recently experience a wildlife safari to Botswana!

Studying for Certificate in Pension Trusteeship, Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision, PMI Retirement Provision Certification, PMI Qualification in Pensions Administration, Economics and Economic History (BA Hons).
