Michael Smith

With a career in pensions spanning back to May 2016, Michael began his journey by administering the civil service pension scheme with MyCSP Limited, before moving to KPMG and then Mercer. His time in all three positions saw him build up an invaluable range of experience in both the public and private sectors, that touched upon both the DB and DC sides of our industry.

More recently, Michael looked after over twenty schemes at XPS; specifically, three larger schemes directly, and the remainder through the team he managed. He also pitched and won new business for the company, whilst taking on various new projects and scheme work, in-between planning the office workloads, managing backlogs and attending trustee meetings.

Outside of his professional life, Michael likes to travel and explore new countries and cultures. When not globe-trotting, he enjoys socialising with friends and also gardening, both at home and at his allotment.
