Kate is a trustee director who works on schemes ranging from £16m to £1bn in asset size. Her particular expertise lies in risk transfer work, scheme governance and member communications.

Background

Kate joined us in 2021 as a trustee director, where she looks after a number of schemes, and also gets involved with the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) panel work. She is also a director of the Association of Professional Pensions Trustees.

Kate’s pensions career started in 2004 with Squire Patton Boggs, where she advised corporates and trustees on all aspects of pensions law, as well as acting as a trustee director for the firm’s trustee business.

Prior to joining us at Vidett, Kate worked at the Co-operative Group for eight years, more specifically in the pensions team as a technical manager. Her duties included leading high-profile projects including scheme sectionalisation, high value buy-ins and scheme mergers. She also acted as secretary of the governance committee to the Co-op’s main £9bn defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) hybrid pension scheme.

In her personal life, Kate loves travelling, going to the cinema and theatre (she’s partial to a musical!), playing tennis and swimming.
