Jim joined us in 2020 as a professional trustee and has brought a wealth of experience to the role. His work as a trustee a director means he knows what it takes to manage multiple stakeholders, at times with different objectives and timelines.
With over 30 years’ experience working in the world of pensions, Jim spent the first half of his career working in consultancy, for companies including Hymans, Mercer and Aon. The second half of his career has been more in-house, advising trustees and sponsors of large defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes. These schemes have ranged from c£3bn to £17bn. His view, however, is the size of the scheme is somewhat academic – all members and stakeholders deserve a high level of governance and support to ensure the best outcomes.
Married, with two children and a family dog, Jim really enjoys exploring the world and trying new experiences. Closer to home, walking the dog, playing golf and going to the gym feature heavily (but not at the same time!)
