Edwin Bruce-Gardner

Edwin has been a hugely experienced scheme actuary since 1997 and acts as a professional pension trustee.

Background

Edwin has been a professional trustee and one of our directors since 2008. He has substantial experience of working in all aspects of pensions and with schemes of all sizes, with particular emphasis on working with advisers to achieve desired objectives for defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. He has also been closely involved in large scale administrative exercises, including outsourcing of whole pension departments.

He began his career in 1975 and trained with a firm of consulting actuaries. He then spent time in setting up the actuarial department of a broking organisation. Edwin then joined Elliot Associates, a pension and actuarial consultancy being established in 1983. He subsequently went on to become one of the founders of BGJ & Co, helping to successfully grow this pensions and actuarial consultancy before it was acquired by Punter Southall Group in 2002.

Outside of work Edwin takes an interest in wildlife conservation.
