Dave Kilminster

Manager

communications • meeting preparation • pension scheme governance • project management • scheme secretarial

Dave assists the trustee directors with governance, project management and trustee secretarial work covering both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes.

Background

Dave joined us in 2023, where his responsibilities include supporting trustees with governance and project management and trustee secretarial work covering DB (mainly) and DC pension schemes. His daily routines see him regularly liaising with scheme advisers, responding to members, and managing his scheme activities. Other parts of his role see him dealing with accounts, scheme returns, member events and ensuring our clients maintain appropriate levels of scheme governance.

Dave began his pensions career in 2018 with JLT where he worked as a pensions administrator, before moving into a consulting role a year later. More recently, Dave worked for Mercer as a consultant. His duties included supporting senior consultants and providing governance and scheme secretarial support to both trustee boards and sole trustees. He was key to relationship management with clients and internal stakeholders, and could be found arranging client meetings, drafting agendas, writing minutes, and managing respective actions. Dave was heavily involved in managing all financial aspects relating to his clients, whilst also happily supporting the development of his junior colleagues.

Outside of work, Dave is a keen football fan, and can be found supporting the mighty Plymouth Argyle! If not watching sport, then he’s probably playing it and loves ‘attempting’ to play golf… fore!
