Clare joined our team in 2022 as a Scheme Manager, where she looks after various defined benefit (DB) schemes, assuming responsibility for their overall governance on behalf of the trustees and employers. This includes liaising with pension administrators, arranging meeting packs, compiling minutes, annual scheme accounts, budget management of the scheme expenses and regulatory reporting.

Clare’s pensions career first began in 2001 as an account manager for Wentworth. Her responsibilities included pension plan administration, group risk scheme administration, market reviews, renewals and claims. She also worked with individual pension policyholders; interacting with their members, employers and insurance companies.

Whilst working at Wentworth, Clare was also a corporate account manager from 2011, where she specialised in the administration of defined benefit schemes and supporting the appointed director. This role also saw Clare liaising with the trustees, employers, investment managers, actuaries and administrators to report on scheme activities.

Prior to joining Vidett, Clare worked in a consultancy role for NFP (after they acquired Wentworth), where she was responsible for all of their defined benefit schemes; organising regular trustee and project meetings, such as annuity buy-ins, and ensuring compliance.

When not busy with her husband, two noisy children and two energetic dogs, Clare enjoys going to dance exercise classes, movie nights with lots of chips and dips, and especially reading!
