Alex is an independent trustee for a portfolio of schemes. He works predominantly with defined benefit (DB) schemes, acting as chair of trustees.
Background
Alex joined us in 2002 and has worked as a trustee ever since. He has built a portfolio of clients over multiple sectors including publishing, manufacturing and technical, pharmaceuticals, hotel and leisure, professional services and defence.
Beginning his pensions career in 1997 with James Hay, Alex looked after executive pension schemes, including small self-administered schemes (SSAS) and funded unapproved retirement benefits schemes (FURBS). More recently, Alex worked for AXA in 1998 where he was responsible for implementing new defined contribution (DC) arrangements.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys walking in the countryside, watching and playing sport (especially golf) and drinking real ale!
Qualifications
Accredited Professional Trustee (PTPMI), Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), law degree, post graduate diploma in legal practice.
