Kevin Clark named chair of Pensions UK’s London group

Client Director Kevin Clark has been nominated by the new Pensions UK’s London Regional Group committee to act as its Chair. The announcement follows the recent rebranding of the PLSA to Pensions UK, and the merger of their Central London, South London and South East groups into one single London local group.

Aimed at members working or living in London and nearby, the new group will continue to provide a varied and interesting programme of events, including educational and networking opportunities for all those involved in the provision of workplace pensions.

On his appointment, Kevin commented: “I am delighted to lead the new Pensions UK London regional group in the support and promotion of their objectives. We aim to provide valuable education for our members as well as the opportunity to network with industry peers. My first event on 23rd July as Chair “Pensions and growth – how can London and the City make it happen” will provide members with the opportunity to learn about one of the Government’s enhanced investment opportunities in the new Pensions Bill. I look forward to welcoming our new members and appreciate RSM’s generosity in hosting us.”

Launch party

To celebrate and launch the new group and rebrand, as Kevin mentions above, Pensions UK will be hosting their ‘Pensions and growth – how can London and the City make it happen?’ event on Wednesday 23 July. Joining Kevin on the night, will be Labour MP David Pinto-Duschinsky – talking about Labour’s Growth agenda, followed by a panel discussion with:

  • Richard Fox – Head of Public Policy UK (Schroders)
  • Caroline Escott – Head of Investment Stewardship, Co-Head of Sustainable Ownership (Railpen)
  • Martin Bailey – Head of Strategic Engagement, Corporation of the City of London, & Chair (Lambeth Pension Fund)
  • Ruari Grant – Head of DC and Master Trusts, Pensions UK.
