As Trustee to F2 Chemicals Limited, we’re delighted to have successfully guided their scheme into an £8m buy-in, with the completion helping secure the benefits of all its scheme members.

Acting as the Chair of the Trustees for the scheme, Mark Johnston was thrilled with the outcome:

“Working with F2 Chemicals, we are delighted to complete this buy-in, as a positive step in our ongoing strategy to ensure the long-term security for all our members. The selection of Aviva as our Insurer partner enables us to deliver our long-term commitment to our members. The collaborative work between the trustees, advisers and sponsoring company has resulted in a very good outcome for all parties. Together with Alison Pearson and Shaun Kilcoyne, we were able to use our experience as members of Vidett’s Endgame Solutions team to work with Mercer and ensure a great outcome for Scheme members and F2 Chemicals.”

Rebecca Giles – Senior Principal at Mercer, was equally pleased with the outcome:

“We were delighted to advise on this transaction which led to an excellent outcome for all members of the F2 Chemicals Limited Pension Scheme. The successful transaction reflects the close collaboration of all parties and a smooth, efficient end-to-end process led by Aviva. Special thanks to my risk transfer colleagues – Maurice Speer Nora Mageean, Adnaan Ahmed and the wider Mercer team for their support throughout the project.”

Sarah Cave – Senior BPA Deal Manager, Aviva, added:

“We’re pleased to have supported the F2 Chemicals Limited Pension Scheme in securing long-term financial security for its members. The efficient transaction was possible due to the collaboration between all parties and our thanks go to the trustees, Mercer, and the sponsoring employer for their partnership and shared commitment.”
