Summer socials
As part of our regional meet ups, we arranged some drinks and nibbles at a local restaurant, ahead a good old catch-up with colleagues inside, before hitting their sun-drenched terrace!
Step up September
We signed up to the ‘Step Up’ challenge, which saw members of the team either walking, running, cycling or swimming for at least 30 minutes each day throughout September.
Regional get togethers
The southern regional team got together for an evening of sports and socialising at Spinners UK. The night saw guests swapping the bowling lanes, spares and strikes for oches, darts and doubles, with drinks and pizzas in between. 🍕
Charity fundraisers
We entered the Business Fives football tournament, alongside 25 other teams; raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society… and a trophy as the event’s Europa League winners!🏆

Supporting you and your development is important to us. We have a wide training framework to support not only people looking for a pensions career but also those in marketing, technology, human resources, finance and other support roles.
We believe in learning and development and provide support for all relevant qualifications, whether you want to obtain professional trustee accreditation or achieve formal marketing accreditation, for example. Our Training Team liaises with colleagues across the business (both client facing and non-client facing areas) to understand how support can be broadened to include wider qualification and study.
Working at Vidett provides an opportunity for graduates or school/college leavers to earn a competitive salary whilst gaining valuable qualifications in financial services. This update summarises key developments and offers valuable insights that may not be readily available through other sources. It also includes Q&As for team members interested in using them as part of their professional development.
We offer a compelling training program, featuring inclusive continuous professional development (CPD) and Learn@Lunch sessions. These are designed to suit a broad audience while placing special emphasis on pertinent pension-related matters that directly impact our clients. Our training covers a wide spectrum of topics, such as covenant analysis, investment strategies, funding considerations, legal and regulatory aspects, governance practices, risk management and effective member communication and engagement strategies. Join us to enhance your expertise in these crucial areas.
Our Training Team runs staff surveys to inform the content of our future training and development initiatives. Gathering feedback is a crucial aspect of understanding the perspectives, views and requirements of our collective team as it evolves. We value colleagues’ continuous input regarding the training we provide and suggestions for the future.
We like to get together – because we know it helps us work better as a team. We do this twice a year, enabling colleagues to meet in person for training/strategy days. Our leadership team provide updates on the business’s performance, share insights into future strategies and create opportunities for idea sharing, celebrating achievements and fostering stronger connections among team members.
At Vidett we strive to create a workplace that celebrates our team’s differences, as well as our similarities. We know we’re more effective together and are committed to building a team that supports and reflects our diverse client base.
As an equal opportunities employer we encourage applications from all backgrounds and we’ll always support you through the process if you need help along the way.
“I joined the Vidett graduate trainee scheme as an opportunity to work towards a progressive career in a structured learning environment. It’s been a great experience so far. The team have been very supportive and friendly whilst teaching and guiding me through. Each day brings something new and being involved from the start has made me feel more confident and trusted.”
“At Vidett, the diversity stands out. We have a team from a myriad of backgrounds with a wealth of experience we can all tap into. I chair the trustee boards of pension schemes from varied industries which brings a need to approach challenges in different ways and find innovative solutions.
One size does not fit all, but one common thread at Vidett is that relationships are key and we pride ourselves on having a friendly working environment, and I think that shows for the clients we work with. I’ve been here for over 18 years and there is yet to be a ‘standard’ day.
“My favourite things about my role are the opportunities and responsibilities I am given, whilst always having the full support of my colleagues. Although I did not come from a pensions background, my colleagues have always trusted me and helped me to develop my knowledge. I am able to apply my experience in projects to my role at Vidett.”
“No two days are the same and I thrive on the challenge and variety of being a professional trustee at Vidett. The people and culture are what make Vidett such a great organisation to be part of. The diversity of background and experience amongst the team, together with a culture of teamwork and collaboration, enables us to deliver great outcomes for scheme members and sponsors.”
“I’ve never experienced anything quite like working here, as somehow the company has naturally achieved an incredible culture with a truly diverse group of people. I’m both supported and encouraged not only to work on areas in pensions that I’m genuinely interested in, but to also challenge myself with a variety of interesting and quite often very unique projects, helping me grow and excel in my role.
The Vidett name may be new, but it’s the same remarkable people, culture and values that first drew me in, and the company’s main focus on always aiming to achieve the very best outcomes for everyone in the increasingly complex pensions landscape, makes me genuinely proud to work here.
It may have taken me 14 years to join Vidett, but it took me no time at all to realise that if you don’t enjoy working in pensions, you quite simple aren’t working with the right people!“
