Michelle Wentzell

Michelle is responsible for maintaining our regulatory compliance, alongside the development of all operational improvements across the business.

Background

Michelle has been with us since 2008, and currently heads up the development of our AAF 02/07 Assurance compliance framework; looking at how we can continue to improve and adapt our existing internal processes and controls to meet any new legislative requirements.

Originally joining the team as a trustee consultant , Michelle went on to move over to the operations team, which is where her true passion and interest lies. It was in this role, where Michelle was responsible for our internal compliance and audit function, as well as operational improvement across the business.

As part of our operational improvement, Michelle had significant input into the design and implementation of the company’s governance system. The new system achieves and promotes better oversight of our entire client portfolio; whilst ensuring that we as a business keep up to date with the latest developments in technology, which continues to radically change and evolve in the pensions industry.

Michelle has a strong knowledge of developing and current industry issues, which is an essential part of her role so that she can continue to suggest, develop, and implement operational improvement across the business as we continue to grow. Her key strengths lie in her organisational skills, retention of knowledge, strategic mindset, and keen eye for detail. She takes pride in her approach to work and is always happy to assist and support the team where required. Michelle also plays a key role in arranging our socials events and she was also a finalist at the Women in Pensions Awards 2021, where she was nominated for the ‘Pandemic Perseverance Award’.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking and visiting new places. She also enjoys being creative, whether that’s doing something artistic such as painting or photography, event planning or even a spot of baking!
